शिमला, 6 जुलाई। तिब्बती आध्यात्मिक गुरु परम पावन दलाई लामा के 90वें जन्मदिवस के उपलक्ष्य में छोटा शिमला स्थित सम्भोटा तिब्बतन स्कूल में एक भव्य कार्यक्रम आयोजित हुआ। समारोह में हिमाचल प्रदेश के उप-मुख्यमंत्री मुकेश अग्निहोत्री ने बतौर मुख्य अतिथि शिरकत की और दलाई लामा को विश्व शांति, करुणा और मानवता का प्रतीक बताया।
उन्होंने कहा कि दलाई लामा का जीवन सत्य, अहिंसा और करुणा की मिसाल है। धर्मशाला को अंतरराष्ट्रीय पहचान दिलाने का श्रेय उन्हीं को जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि हिमाचल की विविधता में तिब्बती संस्कृति एक सुंदर रंग भरती है और यहां तिब्बती समुदाय को बेहतर वातावरण और सम्मान प्राप्त है।
डिप्टी सीएम ने कहा कि तिब्बती संस्कृति को संरक्षित करने के लिए प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा निरंतर प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं। कार्यक्रम में सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियों के साथ निःशुल्क चिकित्सा शिविर का उद्घाटन भी किया गया। इस अवसर पर कई गणमान्य अतिथि उपस्थित रहे।
Shimla, July 6: A grand celebration was held at the Sambhota Tibetan School in Chhota Shimla on the 90th birthday of the spiritual leader of the Tibetan community, His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Himachal Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri was the chief guest at the event.
He praised the Dalai Lama as a symbol of peace, compassion, unity, and humanity, stating that his presence in Dharamshala is a matter of pride for the state. “The global recognition that Dharamshala enjoys today is because of the Dalai Lama,” he added.
He emphasized the strong bond between the Tibetan community and the people of Himachal, adding that successive governments have taken steps to protect the interests of Tibetan residents. The Deputy CM also assured that Tibetan artists would be given a platform in local fairs and festivals.
The event featured cultural performances and the inauguration of a free medical camp. Several dignitaries attended the celebration.
