चंबा, 07 जुलाई 2025। जिला चंबा शतरंज संघ (DCCA) द्वारा राजकीय कन्या वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला, चंबा में जिला एवं चयन शतरंज चैम्पियनशिप का सफल आयोजन किया गया। प्रतियोगिता में 68 खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया, जिनमें ओपन श्रेणी से 54 और महिला श्रेणी से 14 खिलाड़ी शामिल थे।
महिला वर्ग में श्रेया ने प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया, जबकि अदिति राजपूत और कियारा जोशी ने क्रमशः दूसरा और तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया। ओपन श्रेणी में पुष्कर सिंह बिजलवान विजेता रहे, शिवम ठाकुर दूसरे और सक्षम सहगल तीसरे स्थान पर रहे। विजेता और उपविजेता खिलाड़ी अब HP स्टेट ओपन चैम्पियनशिप में चंबा जिला का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे। उनकी एंट्री फीस DCCA द्वारा वहन की जाएगी।
DCCA अध्यक्ष डॉ. संजीव सूरी ने सभी विजेताओं को बधाई दी और बताया कि इस आयोजन से शतरंज के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ेगी। अंत में जनरल मीटिंग का आयोजन हुआ, जिसमें आगामी मिंजर मेला चैस टूर्नामेंट और अंडर-17 राज्य चैम्पियनशिप की योजना पर चर्चा की गई।
Chamba, July 7, 2025: The District Chamba Chess Association (DCCA) successfully organized the District and Selection Chess Championship at Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Chamba, with the participation of 68 talented players. The open category included 54 players, and 14 competed in the women’s section.
In the women’s section, Shreya secured first place, followed by Aditi Rajput and Kiara Joshi. In the open category, Pushkar Singh Bijalwan emerged champion, with Shivam Thakur and Saksham Sehgal securing second and third places. The top two players from each category will now represent Chamba district in the HP State Level Chess Championship, with their entry fees sponsored by DCCA.
DCCA President Dr. Sanjeev Suri congratulated the winners and emphasized the importance of such events in promoting chess in the region. A general meeting was also held to plan the upcoming Minjar Fair Chess Championship and the HP State Under-17 Chess Championship, expected in early August.
