हमीरपुर तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में बनेगा 50 महिलाओं के लिए कामकाजी महिला छात्रावास, 8.41 करोड़ की लागत से होगा निर्माण
हमीरपुर, 12 जुलाई।
हमीरपुर स्थित हिमाचल प्रदेश तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय के दड़ूही परिसर में कामकाजी महिलाओं के लिए आधुनिक छात्रावास का निर्माण किया जाएगा। महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग की पहल पर बनने वाले इस छात्रावास पर ₹8.41 करोड़ की लागत आएगी और इसमें 50 महिलाओं के रहने की सुविधा उपलब्ध होगी।
इस परियोजना के लिए महिला एवं बाल विकास विभाग द्वारा तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय को पत्राचार के माध्यम से सूचित कर दिया गया है। विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रोफेसर राजेंद्र वर्मा ने इस प्रयास को ऐतिहासिक बताते हुए प्रदेश सरकार और विशेष रूप से मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू का आभार व्यक्त किया है।
कुलपति ने बताया कि यह छात्रावास विश्वविद्यालय और अन्य सरकारी कार्यालयों में कार्यरत महिलाओं के लिए बेहद लाभकारी होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि भूमि चयन और अन्य औपचारिकताएं शीघ्र पूरी कर ली जाएंगी, जिससे भवन निर्माण कार्य जल्द शुरू हो सके।
इस परियोजना की विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट (DPR) तैयार करने की जिम्मेदारी हिमाचल प्रदेश राज्य औद्योगिक विकास निगम लिमिटेड (HPSIDC) को सौंपी गई है। शनिवार को एचपीएसआईडीसी के महाप्रबंधक राजेश्वर गोयल के नेतृत्व में एक टीम ने दड़ूही स्थित प्रस्तावित भूमि का निरीक्षण किया। गोयल ने बताया कि डीपीआर बनाने की प्रक्रिया जल्द पूरी कर ली जाएगी, ताकि निर्माण कार्य समय पर आरंभ हो सके।
निरीक्षण के समय तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय के कुलसचिव कमल देव सिंह कंवर और परियोजना अधिकारी अमित ठाकुर भी उपस्थित रहे। यह परियोजना केंद्र सरकार द्वारा पूंजी निवेश के तहत राज्यों को दी गई विशेष सहायता योजना के अंतर्गत स्वीकृत हुई है।
इस योजना के तहत हमीरपुर जिला की कामकाजी महिलाओं को सुरक्षित, सुलभ और सुविधा-युक्त आवास मिलेगा, जो महिला सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।
Working Women’s Hostel to be Constructed at Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur

A new Working Women’s Hostel will soon be constructed adjacent to the Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) campus in Daruhi, Hamirpur. The Women and Child Development Department has proposed the project with a sanctioned budget of ₹8.41 crore, aimed at providing residential accommodation for 50 working women.
HPTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajendra Verma expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for selecting the university campus for this initiative. He emphasized that this hostel will greatly benefit female staff from the university and nearby departments, offering them safe and accessible living quarters.
The construction of the hostel will be supported by the Himachal Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (HPSIDC), which has been instructed to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR). On Saturday, a team led by HPSIDC General Manager Rajeshwar Goyal visited the proposed site for assessment. He assured that the DPR and related formalities would be completed promptly to initiate construction without delay.
Present at the site visit were HPTU Registrar Kamal Dev Singh Kanwar and Project Officer Amit Thakur. The hostel project is funded under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment Scheme of the Central Government, specifically designed to strengthen infrastructure for working women.
Prof. Verma also highlighted the university’s full cooperation with the concerned departments to expedite the construction process. The facility will serve as a significant step towards women’s empowerment, especially in a rapidly developing district like Hamirpur.
