प्लास्टिक अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन के लिए स्कूल और IPCA में समझौता

बढ़ते प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण की समस्या से निपटने और छात्रों में पर्यावरणीय चेतना जागृत करने की दिशा में, महर्षि दयानंद पब्लिक स्कूल, दरिया, चंडीगढ़ ने इंडियन पॉल्यूशन कंट्रोल एसोसिएशन (IPCA) के साथ एक महत्वपूर्ण सहमति-पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर किए। यह समझौता प्रोजेक्ट डीआरओपी (Developing Regional Outreach for Plastic Waste) के क्रियान्वयन हेतु किया गया।
स्कूल के प्राचार्य डॉ. विनोद और IPCA के प्रतिनिधि हरप्रीत सिंह ने इस सहमति-पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इस परियोजना के तहत स्कूल परिसर में विशेष प्लास्टिक संग्रहण बिन स्थापित किया जाएगा, जिससे छात्रों और स्टाफ को प्लास्टिक कचरे के पृथक्करण और वैज्ञानिक पुनर्चक्रण की प्रक्रिया में शामिल किया जाएगा।
यह पहल पूरी तरह नि:शुल्क होगी और इसका उद्देश्य स्कूल को प्लास्टिक मुक्त बनाना तथा पर्यावरण संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देना है। कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत नुक्कड़ नाटक, सांस्कृतिक गतिविधियाँ और जागरूकता सत्र आयोजित किए जाएंगे।
प्राचार्य डॉ. विनोद ने छात्रों को इस अभियान में सक्रिय भागीदारी के लिए प्रेरित करते हुए कहा कि “यह सिर्फ स्कूल का नहीं, हम सभी का दायित्व है कि हम पर्यावरण के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारी निभाएं।”
School and IPCA Sign MoU for Plastic Waste Management Initiative

In a step toward sustainable environmental practices and increasing student awareness, Maharishi Dayanand Public School, Daria, Chandigarh has signed an MoU with the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) for the implementation of Project DROP (Developing Regional Outreach for Plastic Waste).
The agreement was signed by School Principal Dr. Vinod and IPCA representative Mr. Harpreet Singh. As part of the project, a special plastic bin will be installed within the school premises for students and staff to dispose of plastic waste responsibly. The collected plastic will be periodically picked up by IPCA for scientific recycling, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
This initiative, supported by Kia India Pvt. Ltd., is fully cost-free for the school. The project will also include awareness activities such as street plays, cultural programs, and environmental education to encourage student participation.
Dr. Vinod lauded the initiative, saying, “Environmental protection is our shared duty. Through this effort, we aim to set an example of sustainable living for future generations.”
