मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू ने मंगलवार को केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शाह से भेंट कर हिमाचल प्रदेश में हाल ही में हुई भीषण वर्षा और भूस्खलन से हुए व्यापक नुकसान की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि प्रदेश को अब तक लगभग 1000 करोड़ रुपये का नुकसान हो चुका है जबकि मानसून की शुरुआत ही हुई है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने राहत एवं पुनर्वास कार्यों के लिए केंद्र से उदार वित्तीय सहायता का अनुरोध किया और राष्ट्रीय एवं राज्य आपदा राहत कोष (NDRF/SDRF) के दिशा-निर्देशों में संशोधन कर राहत मापदंडों को 10% से बढ़ाकर 30% करने की मांग रखी। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले तीन वर्षों में राज्य को 21,000 करोड़ रुपये का नुकसान हो चुका है, ऐसे में केंद्र की मदद अत्यंत आवश्यक है।
सुक्खू ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार अपने सीमित संसाधनों से पुनर्वास कार्यों में जुटी है, लेकिन भूगोलिक परिस्थितियों को देखते हुए केंद्र का सहयोग अनिवार्य है। इस पर अमित शाह ने हरसंभव सहायता का आश्वासन दिया।

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday to apprise him of the extensive damage caused by recent heavy rains and landslides in the state. He informed that the state has already suffered a loss of around ₹1000 crore, and the monsoon has only just begun.
CM Sukhu urged the Central Government for liberal financial assistance and proposed a revision of the current disaster relief norms—requesting an increase in the permissible relief expenditure from 10% to 30% under NDRF and SDRF provisions.
Highlighting the state’s vulnerability and the ₹21,000 crore losses in the last three years, he emphasized the difficulty of managing reconstruction with limited state resources.
In response, Union Minister Amit Shah assured full support from the Central Government to assist Himachal in recovery and rebuilding efforts, acknowledging the gravity of the situation.
