नगर एवं ग्राम नियोजन मंत्री राजेश धर्माणी ने आज हिमुडा की समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए विभाग की कार्यप्रणाली में नवाचार लाने पर बल दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि यह नवाचार का युग है और हिमुडा को हर परियोजना में हरित दृष्टिकोण और तकनीकी समावेश सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए।
मंत्री ने कहा कि हिमाचल जैसे आपदा संभावित राज्य में विकास कार्य पारिस्थितिक संतुलन के साथ होने चाहिए ताकि लोगों और निवेशकों का भरोसा बना रहे। उन्होंने थीम आधारित कॉलोनियों, हरित भवन डिज़ाइन, और शिमला में जाठिया देवी माउंटेन सिटी परियोजना की प्रगति का विशेष रूप से उल्लेख किया।
उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश में स्टार्टअप इकोसिस्टम को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रोत्साहन राशि और ऑनलाइन समाधान प्रणाली को भी लागू किया जाएगा। बैठक में हिमुडा उपाध्यक्ष यशवंत छाजटा, सचिव डॉ. सुरेंद्र कुमार वशिष्ठ, और अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।

Urban Development and Town Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani chaired a review meeting of HIMUDA, emphasizing the need for innovation and eco-consciousness in the organization’s working style.
He stated that HIMUDA must align with the goals of sustainable urbanization, especially in a disaster-prone state like Himachal Pradesh, where projects must consider ecological balance to strengthen public and investor confidence.
The minister highlighted the importance of theme-based colonies, green building designs, and reviewed the progress of the Mountain City project at Jathiya Devi, intended to reduce congestion in Shimla. He also mentioned the proposed ultra-modern multi-purpose building at Vikas Nagar, which will be one of the most advanced buildings in Shimla.
Rajesh Dharmani suggested creating an online grievance redressal system and supporting youth-led innovations with incentive funds to boost the state’s startup ecosystem. HIMUDA Vice-Chairman Yashwant Chhajta, Secretary Dr. Surender Kumar Vashisht, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
