आईसीआईसीआई लोम्बार्ड और पारस हेल्थकेयर के संयुक्त प्रयास से बरोटीवाला में एक दिवसीय स्वास्थ्य जागरूकता शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। इस शिविर में किडनी ट्रांसप्लांट, डायलेसिस, इंश्योरेंस योजनाओं और वर्तमान में फैल रही गंभीर बीमारियों पर चर्चा की गई। शिविर में प्रमुख रूप से डॉ. सुनील कुमार और डॉ. अमित बंसल ने लोगों को जानकारी दी और उनकी स्वास्थ्य संबंधी शंकाओं का समाधान किया।
डॉ. सुनील कुमार ने बताया कि भारत में प्रतिवर्ष लगभग 7500 किडनी ट्रांसप्लांट होते हैं, जो कि सबसे महंगी सर्जरी मानी जाती है। इसकी लागत 8 से 15 लाख रुपये तक होती है, जिसे एक उपयुक्त स्वास्थ्य बीमा पॉलिसी द्वारा कवर किया जा सकता है। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि किडनी डोनर और प्राप्तकर्ता के बीच की प्रक्रिया को समझना बेहद जरूरी है।
बददी प्रभारी डॉ. कश्मीर सिंह ठाकुर ने कहा कि खराब खानपान और बदलती जीवनशैली से बीमारियों का खतरा बढ़ रहा है। ऐसे में समय पर स्वास्थ्य बीमा करवाना जरूरी है ताकि इलाज की लागत परिवार पर भारी न पड़े।
इस अवसर पर राजन गोयल, बलबीर ठाकुर, सतीश शर्मा, सतीश जैन, पुष्पराज ठाकुर, अशोक कुमार, ठाकुर आयुष, सुरेश कल्याण व सुषमा ठाकुर सहित कई उद्यमी और स्थानीय व्यापारी उपस्थित रहे।

A health awareness camp was organized in Barotiwala by ICICI Lombard and Paras Healthcare, focusing on kidney transplants, rising health issues, and insurance coverage. Leading the discussion were Dr. Sunil Kumar and Dr. Amit Bansal, who addressed public concerns and offered expert guidance on pressing health matters.
Dr. Sunil Kumar highlighted the alarming rise in dialysis cases and kidney diseases in India, with nearly 7,500 kidney transplants taking place annually. He emphasized that the cost of a kidney transplant—ranging from ₹8 to ₹15 lakhs—is among the highest and can be covered through timely health insurance policies.
Dr. Kashmir Singh Thakur, In-charge of Baddi, urged people to adopt a healthier lifestyle and secure their families through health insurance, given the increasing disease burden and limited financial capacity for medical expenses.
Present at the event were Rajan Goyal, Balbir Thakur, Satish Sharma, Satish Jain, Pushpraj Thakur, Ashok Kumar, Thakur Ayush, Suresh Kalyan, and Sushma Thakur, along with several local entrepreneurs and business leaders.
