करहा में बनेगा अत्याधुनिक राजीव गांधी डे-बोर्डिंग स्कूल
प्रथम चरण में प्राइमरी विंग के निर्माण पर खर्च होंगे 9.23 करोड़

हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री ठाकुर सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू द्वारा आरंभ की गई राजीव गांधी डे-बोर्डिंग स्कूल योजना अब हमीरपुर जिला के भोरंज विधानसभा क्षेत्र के करहा गांव में भी आकार ले रही है। लगभग 50 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से बनने वाले इस अत्याधुनिक शिक्षण संस्थान के प्रथम चरण में 9.23 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से प्राइमरी विंग का निर्माण किया जा रहा है।
यह स्कूल करहा गांव की 102 कनाल भूमि पर बनाया जा रहा है, जिसमें न केवल स्मार्ट क्लासरूम, आधुनिक प्रयोगशालाएं और पुस्तकालय होंगे, बल्कि खेलकूद, सांस्कृतिक व एनसीसी जैसी गतिविधियों के लिए भी आधुनिक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाई जाएंगी।
मुख्यमंत्री के निर्देश पर प्राइमरी विंग को एक वर्ष में तैयार करने का लक्ष्य तय किया गया है, जिससे आसपास के गांवों के बच्चों को जल्द ही अत्याधुनिक शिक्षा का अवसर मिल सके।
यह स्कूल प्रदेश के उन बच्चों के लिए एक मील का पत्थर साबित होगा जो सामान्य परिवारों से आते हैं, लेकिन शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में बड़े पब्लिक स्कूलों के विद्यार्थियों के साथ प्रतिस्पर्धा करने की क्षमता रखते हैं। यह योजना राज्य सरकार की फ्लैगशिप योजना है और इसके तहत प्रदेश के 15 विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में डे-बोर्डिंग स्कूलों का निर्माण हो रहा है।

The Government of Himachal Pradesh, under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, is rapidly advancing its flagship initiative — Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding Schools — to provide modern education to children from common households.
In Karha village, located in Bhoranj constituency, a state-of-the-art Day-Boarding School is being built at a cost of ₹50 crore. In the first phase, ₹9.23 crore is being utilized to construct the Primary Wing, which is expected to be completed within one year.
Spread across 102 kanals, the campus will include smart classrooms, laboratories, a library, and provisions for sports, cultural programs, and NCC activities. These modern facilities will help bridge the educational gap between government and private schools.
The initiative is part of the Swarnim Himachal Vision to ensure equal opportunities for students from rural backgrounds and empower them to compete confidently at national levels.
