जुब्बल। शिक्षा मंत्री रोहित ठाकुर ने जुब्बल उपमंडल के शुराचली क्षेत्र में आयोजित ऐतिहासिक जिला स्तरीय राथल मेले में शिरकत की। यह मेला सदियों से मनाया जा रहा है और स्थानीय जनता की आस्था का प्रतीक है। इसमें क्षेत्र के चार प्रमुख देवता — बनाड़, देशमौलिया, पवासी और गुडारू — शामिल होते हैं। ठाकुर ने सभी देवताओं का आशीर्वाद लेकर उपस्थित श्रद्धालुओं को बधाई दी।
उन्होंने कहा कि मेले और त्योहार हमारी समृद्ध संस्कृति का प्रतीक हैं और इन्हें सहेजना आवश्यक है। उन्होंने युवाओं से अपील की कि वे आपसी प्रेम, सद्भाव और मेलजोल का संदेश फैलाएं।
विकास कार्यों पर बोलते हुए ठाकुर ने बताया कि सावड़ा-मांदल-झगटान सड़क का 22.48 करोड़ रुपये से निर्माण, चामसु पुल का 4.25 करोड़ से निर्माण, प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र भोलाड़ का 1.74 करोड़ से निर्माण जारी है। इसके अलावा प्रधानमंत्री ग्रामीण सड़क योजना में नई सड़कों के प्रस्ताव भेजे गए हैं।
कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ केक काटकर किया गया और सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियां भी हुईं। इस मौके पर जनप्रतिनिधि, अधिकारी और ग्रामीण बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थित रहे।
Jubbal – Education Minister Rohit Thakur attended the historic district-level Rathal Fair in Shurachali area of Jubbal subdivision. Celebrated for centuries, the fair is a symbol of deep cultural and religious faith, featuring four main deities — Banad, Deshmauliya, Pawasi, and Gudaru. Thakur sought blessings from the deities and greeted all devotees.
He said fairs and festivals reflect our rich heritage and must be preserved for future generations. Urging the youth to spread messages of love and harmony, he emphasized balancing modern progress with cultural roots.
Highlighting development, Thakur mentioned the ongoing ₹22.48 crore work on the Sawra-Mandal-Jhagatan road, the upcoming ₹4.25 crore Chamsu Bridge, the ₹1.74 crore PHC Bholad building, and several road projects under PMGSY.
The event began with a cake-cutting ceremony, followed by vibrant cultural performances. Local representatives, officials, and villagers attended in large numbers.
