राजस्थान के राजसमंद ज़िले का पिपलांत्री गाँव पर्यावरण संरक्षण और महिला सशक्तिकरण की मिसाल पेश कर रहा है। यहाँ की परंपरा अनोखी है—जब भी किसी बेटी का जन्म होता है, पूरे गाँव के लोग 111 पौधे लगाते हैं और उनकी देखभाल करते हैं। बेटियां इन पौधों को अपना भाई मानकर रक्षा बंधन के दिन राखी बांधती हैं। इस पहल ने गाँव में लाखों पौधे लगवाए हैं, जिससे हरियाली बढ़ी है, भूजल स्तर सुधरा है और जैव विविधता को बल मिला है।
गाँववाले इन पौधों की देखभाल अपने बच्चों की तरह करते हैं, जिससे यह परंपरा सामाजिक और पर्यावरणीय जिम्मेदारी का प्रतीक बन गई है। इस पहल की शुरुआत गांव के सरपंच श्याम सुंदर पालीवाल ने की थी, जो अब राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सराही जा रही है।
