ऊना, 23 अगस्त। हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार की राजीव गांधी वन संवर्धन योजना ग्रामीण विकास और पर्यावरण संरक्षण की अनूठी पहल साबित हो रही है। इस योजना का उद्देश्य बंजर और अनुपयोगी भूमि को हरित बनाना है, साथ ही स्थानीय समुदायों को रोजगार और आमदनी के अवसर प्रदान करना भी है।
ऊना जिले में योजना का क्रियान्वयन तेजी से चल रहा है। डीएफओ ऊना सुशील राणा ने बताया कि महिला मंडलों, युवक मंडलों और स्वयं सहायता समूहों को वनीकरण से जोड़ा गया है। प्रत्येक समूह को 1 से 5 हेक्टेयर भूमि पर वृक्षारोपण और पांच वर्षों तक रखरखाव की जिम्मेदारी दी गई है। प्रति हेक्टेयर 1.20 लाख रुपये की आर्थिक सहायता और 50% से अधिक पौधों के जीवित रहने पर अतिरिक्त 1 लाख रुपये का प्रावधान किया गया है।
उपायुक्त जतिन लाल ने कहा कि यह योजना युवाओं और समाज को पर्यावरण संरक्षण की ओर प्रेरित कर रही है। मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू और उपमुख्यमंत्री मुकेश अग्निहोत्री ने भी इसे ग्रामीण सशक्तिकरण और सतत विकास की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम बताया है।
Una, August 23. The Rajiv Gandhi Afforestation Scheme of the Himachal Pradesh government is setting new milestones in both environmental protection and rural empowerment. The scheme focuses on converting barren and unused land into green forests while creating livelihood opportunities for local communities.
In Una district, the scheme is being implemented rapidly. DFO Una, Sushil Rana, informed that women groups, youth clubs, and self-help groups are actively participating in plantation activities. Each group is allotted 1–5 hectares of land for plantation and maintenance for five years. They receive financial support of up to ₹1.20 lakh per hectare and an additional ₹1 lakh incentive if survival of planted saplings exceeds 50%.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that the administration is working to motivate youth and community groups for sustainable plantation. CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri emphasized that the scheme is not just about trees but about balancing development with sustainability and strengthening the rural economy.
