हमीरपुर। हिमाचल प्रदेश तकनीकी विश्वविद्यालय हमीरपुर के भौतिकी विभाग में राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष दिवस उत्साहपूर्वक मनाया गया। इस अवसर पर तकनीकी विवि के अधिष्ठाता शैक्षणिक डॉ. राजेश कुमार ने बतौर मुख्य अतिथि शिरकत की।
इस वर्ष का राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष दिवस “आर्यभट्ट से गगनयानः प्राचीन ज्ञान से असीम संभावनाओं तक” थीम पर आधारित रहा। कार्यक्रम के दौरान डॉ. राजेश ने विद्यार्थियों को बताया कि भारत ने अंतरिक्ष विज्ञान में आर्यभट्ट से लेकर आज तक उल्लेखनीय प्रगति की है। उन्होंने कहा कि 23 अगस्त को भारत चंद्रयान-3 की ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि की याद में राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष दिवस मनाता है, जब भारत चंद्रमा के दक्षिणी ध्रुव पर सफल सॉफ्ट-लैंडिंग करने वाला पहला देश बना।
उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से आग्रह किया कि वे भारत के प्राचीन अंतरिक्ष ज्ञान का अध्ययन करें और इसे आधुनिक विज्ञान व नवाचार में लागू करें। इससे पूर्व सभी विद्यार्थियों और प्राध्यापकों को भारत के अंतरिक्ष योगदानों पर शपथ भी दिलाई गई। कुलपति प्रो. राजेंद्र वर्मा और कुलसचिव कमल देव सिंह कंवर ने भी विद्यार्थियों को बधाई दी।
Hamirpur. The Department of Physics, Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HimTU), Hamirpur, celebrated National Space Day with great enthusiasm. The event was graced by Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dean Academic, as the chief guest.
This year’s theme was “From Aryabhata to Gaganyaan: Infinite Possibilities through Ancient Knowledge.” Dr. Rajesh highlighted India’s journey from the pioneering work of Aryabhata to the modern-day Gaganyaan mission. He reminded students that National Space Day is celebrated on 23rd August every year to commemorate the historic achievement of Chandrayaan-3’s successful soft-landing at the lunar south pole, making India the first nation to do so.
He urged students to study India’s ancient knowledge of astronomy and apply it to modern innovations for the nation’s progress. Prior to this, students and faculty members also took an oath to honor India’s contributions in space. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajendra Verma and Registrar Kamal Dev Singh Kanwar extended greetings on the occasion.
