बिलासपुर। नंगल क्षेत्र के निवासियों और कर्मचारियों ने हिमाचल प्रदेश प्रवेश बिंदुओं पर लगाए गए 70 रुपये के टोल टैक्स को अनुचित बताते हुए कड़ा विरोध दर्ज कराया। बी.बी.एम.बी. (भाखड़ा ब्यास प्रबंधन बोर्ड) मज़दूर संघ इंटक और संयुक्त मोर्चा ने भाखड़ा रोड पर प्रदर्शन किया और इसे कर्मचारियों व स्थानीय लोगों के साथ अन्याय बताया।
इंटक अध्यक्ष सतनाम सिंह लाड़ी ने कहा कि बी.बी.एम.बी. द्वारा निर्मित और रखरखाव की जा रही सड़क पर कर्मचारियों से टोल वसूलना पूरी तरह अनुचित है। नंगल से भाखड़ा के बीच केवल 5 से 7 किलोमीटर की दूरी है, लेकिन कर्मचारियों को दिन में कई बार टोल देना पड़ता है, जिससे तनाव और विवाद बढ़ता है।
संघ ने मुख्यमंत्री, उपमुख्यमंत्री मुकेश अग्निहोत्री और प्रशासन से मांग की कि बी.बी.एम.बी. कर्मचारियों और नंगल से 5 किमी की परिधि में रहने वाले निवासियों को टोल से छूट दी जाए। साथ ही, सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्रालय की नई टोल नीति के अनुरूप न्यायसंगत व्यवस्था लागू करने की अपील की गई।
संघ ने चेतावनी दी कि यदि शीघ्र समाधान नहीं निकाला गया तो आंदोलन और तेज होगा।
Bilaspur. Residents and employees of Nangal have strongly opposed the ₹70 toll tax being charged at Himachal entry points. The BBMB Workers’ Union INTUC and United Front staged a protest on Bhakra Road, calling the toll unjust and exploitative for employees and locals.
INTUC President Satnam Singh Laddi stated that collecting toll from employees on a road built and maintained by BBMB itself is highly unfair. The distance between Nangal and Bhakra is just 5–7 km, yet employees have to pay toll multiple times daily, creating disputes and inconvenience.
The union demanded exemption from toll for BBMB employees and residents living within a 5 km radius of Nangal. They urged the Himachal Government, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri, and the administration to implement a fair system in line with the new toll policy of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
The union also warned of intensifying the agitation if the issue is not resolved soon, stressing the cultural and historical ties between Himachal and Punjab.
