धर्मशाला, 25 अगस्त। कांगड़ा जिला में भारी बारिश और मंगलवार के लिए जारी रेड अलर्ट को देखते हुए प्रशासन पूरी तरह सतर्क हो गया है। उपायुक्त हेमराज बैरवा ने सभी एसडीएम, तहसीलदार और नायब तहसीलदारों को फील्ड में डटे रहने के निर्देश दिए हैं, ताकि राहत और पुनर्वास कार्यों में किसी भी स्तर पर कमी न रह सके।
उन्होंने बताया कि ब्यास नदी के जल स्तर की लगातार मॉनिटरिंग की जा रही है और पौंग डैम प्रबंधन से संपर्क बनाए रखा गया है। इंदौरा क्षेत्र में किसी भी आपात स्थिति से निपटने के लिए एनडीआरएफ और एसडीआरएफ की टीमें पहले से तैनात कर दी गई हैं। साथ ही, उन्होंने आम नागरिकों और पर्यटकों से नदी-नालों के किनारे न जाने और अनावश्यक यात्रा से बचने की अपील की।
रेड अलर्ट के चलते जिले के सभी सरकारी व निजी विद्यालयों, महाविद्यालयों, विश्वविद्यालयों और आंगनबाड़ी केंद्रों में 26 अगस्त को अवकाश घोषित किया गया है। उपायुक्त ने बताया कि अब तक जिले में 391 करोड़ रुपये के नुक़सान की रिपोर्ट दर्ज की गई है। प्रभावितों को तत्काल राहत देने और पुनर्वास सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।
उन्होंने नागरिकों से आग्रह किया कि किसी भी आपात स्थिति की सूचना तुरंत जिला आपदा प्रबंधन केंद्र के टोल फ्री नंबर 1077 पर दें।
Dharamshala, August 25. The Kangra district administration is on high alert following a red alert warning for heavy rainfall on Tuesday. Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa has directed all SDMs, Tehsildars, and Naib Tehsildars to remain in the field to ensure that relief and rehabilitation work continues smoothly without any delay.
He informed that the water level of the Beas River is being closely monitored in coordination with the Pong Dam management. NDRF and SDRF teams have already been deployed in the Indora subdivision to deal with any emergency situation. He also appealed to citizens and tourists not to go near rivers or streams and avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rains.
Due to the red alert, all government and private schools, colleges, universities, and Anganwadi centers in the district will remain closed on August 26. So far, damages worth ₹391 crore have been reported in Kangra district. Immediate relief measures and rehabilitation support are being provided to the affected families.
The DC has urged people to report any emergency immediately by calling the toll-free disaster control room number 1077, which is operational 24×7.
