धर्मशाला, 25 अगस्त। कांगड़ा जिला प्रशासन ने मंगलवार को जारी रेड अलर्ट के मद्देनज़र पूरी सतर्कता बरतनी शुरू कर दी है। उपायुक्त हेमराज बैरवा ने सभी उपमंडलाधिकारियों, तहसीलदारों और नायब तहसीलदारों को निर्देश दिए हैं कि वे फील्ड में डटे रहें और राहत व पुनर्वास कार्यों में किसी प्रकार की ढिलाई न बरती जाए।
प्रशासन ने ब्यास नदी के जलस्तर पर लगातार निगरानी रखी हुई है और पौंग डैम प्रबंधन से समन्वय किया जा रहा है। इंदौरा क्षेत्र में एनडीआरएफ और एसडीआरएफ की टीमें भी तैनात कर दी गई हैं। साथ ही, नागरिकों और पर्यटकों से अपील की गई है कि वे नदियों-नालों के किनारे जाने से बचें और अनावश्यक यात्रा न करें।
रेड अलर्ट को देखते हुए 26 अगस्त को जिले के सभी सरकारी और निजी स्कूल, कॉलेज, विश्वविद्यालय व आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र बंद रहेंगे। उपायुक्त ने कहा कि अब तक जिले में बारिश से लगभग 611 लाख का नुक़सान दर्ज किया जा चुका है। प्रभावित परिवारों को तत्काल राहत और पुनर्वास कार्य सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रशासन मुस्तैद है।

Dharamshala, August 25. The Kangra district administration has begun exercising full vigilance in view of the Red Alert issued for Tuesday. Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa has directed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, and Naib Tehsildars to remain in the field and ensure that no negligence occurs in relief and rehabilitation work.
The administration is continuously monitoring the water level of the Beas River and coordinating with the Pong Dam management. NDRF and SDRF teams have also been deployed in the Indora region. At the same time, citizens and tourists have been advised to avoid going near rivers and streams and to refrain from unnecessary travel.
In view of the Red Alert, all government and private schools, colleges, universities, and Anganwadi centers in the district will remain closed on August 26. The Deputy Commissioner stated that so far, rains have caused damages worth approximately ₹611 lakh in the district. The administration is fully prepared to provide immediate relief and ensure proper rehabilitation for the affected families.
